The Talents W9 Price is only the initiative of the W9 (Channel TV) and society HOME chain, which designs and produces for brands and media of event- programs.
This unique award recognizes a current music artist for all his talents quality of the album , live performance , visual universe ...Thanks to the power of media W9 and partners of the prize, the winner and the ten nominees will receive unprecedented media exposure on the M6 group channels and partners to help them confirm the hopes placed in them media.The 10 finalists will be selected from nominations by a panel composed of artists, personalities and music professionals and media ... but not only the spectator counts.
Through a vote held on a site of one of the partners the spectators will also get a say in the selection.The winner will then be chosen by the judges.
On february 2014, one of the finalist gave some invitations for the show it was the band ELEPHANTZ, so I send them a mail, and hell yeah I got my invitation. The shows took place in a beautiful venue, Theatre Athénée, so wonderful, when I went to get my invitation, the hostess told me that I would be in front of the stage, I wasn't asking so much, so nice.

1 - CASCADEUR
Surfer Ghost , new album CASCADEUR is a galaxy of rainbow , a glittering arch as a gateway to a parallel world door.Our hero , deeply attached to his childhood dreams , embodied in this new record a " Casper modern time" surfing the clouds faster than the wind sneaks according to his desires ...The musical spectrum now takes the form of a wider range varies pleasures and rhythms.His keyboards and machines are still there, as grafted his fingertips , but to go further, CASCADEUR organized a denser encounter between acoustic instruments and digital clones.
It was the first time I heard about this band and it was quite pleasant to listen, very catchy.
2 - SKIP THE USE
Upset the established order and entertain at all costs, Skip The Use has made its policy. Its DNA. Its reason to exist. It is around this motto what does this club five of another kind (Mat Bastard vocals, guitars Yann Stefani, Jay Jimenez bass, keyboards and Lio Manamax drums) there is now a little less than five years.
Real tornado, both visual and musical perspective, Skip The Use never ceases to intrigue since.
I knew this band before the shows, it was the first I saw them in live, and they got so much energy, they rocked it and I like it..
3 - CATS ON TREE
A girl, a boy. A piano, drums and a captivating voice. Virtuosity and energy. Cats on Trees found the perfect osmosis, the mixture of sounds and rhythms that speak to the body and the soul. Alternate to finish the bright or light pop, still entrenched. The urge to sketch some dance or sing loudly. Funds melancholy too quickly brushed, dispersed and scattered into pieces of broken mirrors.
I also knew this band before and I love their song, so catchy, at the first sight I thought they were english :p but not, they are french and they are really good.
4 - GRIEFJOY
Some notes of synthesizers , piano or flow of tears , a syncopated rhythm and a voice that invites you to taste . Welcome to the world of Griefjoy and their first album, ambitious , lyrical and proud, and also outlines some on the dancefloor .This name represents in their eyes the best definition to collect two emotions that can not a priori be felt at the same time , except to the listening of their music and forty minutes of their first album: pain and joy. A disk and combines both light and the dark , intense and exhilarating electro rock , circles of smoke and angles.
" Touch Ground" summarizes the sacred union desired by Griefjoy : a dance beat , catchy chorus and a melody that does not let him sleep .
Griefjoy , experimental rock and classical, energetic and quiet, and terribly human city . A voice that dares large deviations and acrobatics without a net.
This band is a great discovery, this mixed electro pop, their live, all the instrument they played, my god I love it that 1 week after the shows I went to one of their gig, awesome, take a look to the page I write.
5 - HOLLYSIZ
Behind this name very Anglo-Saxon, not hiding a group but a young woman. (Almost) all alone. A young woman and a few friends. Cécile Cassel. "Another singer actress!" A revelation. Everything, sometimes a beat that calls to dance or guitar haunted, on instruments that combine, train to take off or dive.
I heard her song before and I really like it, the melody can be easily stick in your heard, so dancing.
6 - SHIN SEKAI
Shin Sekai is a binomial consists of Dadju and Abu Tall. Both terrain MC mastered both the rap song. Therefore no barrier for Shin Sekai, resolutely determined to show another rap. "Shin Sekai" comes from the Japanese and literally means "New World" thanks to this first project, they throw us an invitation to explore their world.
I'm not really a fan if this style of song, this is not bad, but I don't know why but I can't listen to this.
7 - SAINT - MICHEL
Geographic coincidence that earned the duo, polymorphic in his emotions as in his full and musical hairlines, ending up placed at the epicenter of the French Touch.
This band is also a great discovery, I love the sensibility in his voice and the electro pop melody, so cheerful.
8 - CASSEURS FLOWTERS
A New Pair consists of a popular rapper Orelsan. The album Crackers Flowters is not a simple disc mates but an album to listen preferably in its continuity concept, a true artistic gamble that contains a wealth of inventiveness, punchlines, bars laughter, sounds of concrete and rapologic virtuosity.
Same thing as the other band, I'm not a fan of french rap, its weird because I like american hip hop,....
9 - ELEPHANTZ
Jonathan and Maxime are two brothers who have always created and then comes the day when all these pop arrangements are under control and the need for expression is self-evident in French, English, solo, duo. This is the right moment ... The result is a mixture of unstoppable choruses served by fine writing polymorphic. The texts are sometimes cynical and bitter, sometimes tender and hopeful, often empathize with the modern anti-hero, disappointed, dropped.
Oh my I love their song, this band invited me in this shows, it was the first time in live, I like it, so catchy, the melody is lovely, you take a look to the page I made.
10 - FéFé
Féfé who manage to escape the fatality of a prioris without denying. Former member of Saian Supa Crew. Looking for a larger space for expression or it could put the diversity of his tastes, he is freed from the limits within which the report is often compartmentalized to carry the message of vigilance and tolerance as regards her personal experience. With Charming Early Day, the second chapter of his solitary saga, it takes another step in the realization of a universe that fits him or synergize analog and digital sounds, instruments and samples, vocal harmonies and flow, and rap rock, folk and soul, and reggae song.
I didn't know that he does a solo career, he got such a sweet voice.
And the winner is GRIEFJOY
I totally agreed with the jury, they were the best in live.... So happy for them, you should take a look to the page I made on them.
I'm so grateful for ELEPHANTZ who invited me to the shows, it was really nice and so much fun to see all this different band played.
Its a nice contest, I hope success for them and the winner because they deserved so much, French Touch !!!!!!
