The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001. The name The Killers is derived from a logo on the bass drum of a fictitious band, portrayed in the music video for the New Order song "Crystal".
"Mr Brightside" was the first song I heard from The Killers in 2003, I love it, guitar's sound, the melody so stunning, "Destiny is calling me Open up my eager eyes Cause I'm Mr. Brightside" One of the band who follow me during my youth. The Killers has made its own ways to the walk of fame, their exploration on weird issues, like paranoia, jealousy, ambition, even homoerotic themes, are indeed challenging, yet have proven to lead the band into an incredible accomplishment.
The group has released four studio albums, Hot Fuss (2004), Sam's Town (2006), Day & Age (2008) and Battle Born (2012), all four albums have gone to number one in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and they have sold an estimated 22 million albums worldwide. A greatest hits compilation, Direct Hits was released on November 11, 2013.
Along the way they have achieved worldwide success as a live band, performing in over fifty countries and headlining arenas on six continents. Since 2006 the band have released an annual Christmas themed single and video in aid of the charity Product Red.
In 2013, I went finally to their gig !!!! The first date was cancelled due to the snow I'm still remember, walking trought the snow on the street of Paris, it took me 2hours to get there and when I arrived, to see the sign cancelled my god so rough....... Every day I checked on the website if they are going to postpone the gig or not, and YES it postponed, so happy.... They are not very popular in France, there is not much date so it took a while until I went.
The shows was so AWESOME, for many years I waited for them... Brandon Flowers so handsome, his voice so amazing, such a ton of voice... We were such a nice group (My sister and brother, 3 cousin, 1 friend), and enjoyed this gig with real fan with me for years... Yeah, we used to sing their song during our family reunion. So terrific....
I can't wait for the next gig... I'm so huge fan, I know very well the lyrics... Hell yeahhhh
